Meet Candii

I launched the Misspacklight blog in 2010 to delve into my day-to-day challenges and explorations. Through writing, I channeled both frustrations and triumphs, allowing me to be present in my life while honoring the past that shaped me.

To my surprise, my writings resonated deeply with others, inspiring me to strive for the best version of myself and to extend that journey of growth to fellow women. The birth of my daughter served as a pivotal moment, propelling me to actively seek my life’s purpose amidst uncertainty, ultimately leading to clarity.

As I reflected on the experiences of women around me, I noticed a concerning pattern. Many felt burdened by societal expectations, striving to 'do it all' with a forced smile while harboring anxieties about showing any sign of weakness.

Recognizing the pressing need for a safe and supportive space, I launched Misspacklight as a community of empowerment in 2018. The mission was clear: to provide ambitious women with a sanctuary where they could authentically navigate life's complexities.

Through my journey with Misspacklight and interactions with diverse women, I realized that black women faced unique challenges in their pursuit of well-being. Thus, Shepackslight was born—a coaching and community platform designed specifically to address their distinct experiences and needs.
